India gave the Windies a mammoth target of 388 runs here, but in response, the Windies collapsed by scoring 280 runs in 43.3 overs. Rohit Sharma was adjudged Man of the Match for his brilliant innings.
GOOD START OF THE WINDIES
The Windies had a great start chasing a big target. But after the powerplay, he lost the first wicket in the 11th over as Evin Lewis (30). Hetmeyer (4), who was the hero of the Windies victory in the first ODI after Lewis, was run out due to the smart fielding of Shreyas Iyer and he did not even have a wicket to send Roston Chase up the order. In this way, the Windies, who lost the first wicket on 61, lost their 3 wickets by reaching 86 runs.
HOPE AND PURAN MANAGE TO FALTER
After this, Nicholas Pooran, along with She Hope, supported the Windies’ faltering innings and both added a brilliant 106 for the fourth wicket. Looking backward in the match, the Windies tried to get Puran back on track with his quick innings. Puran hit a brilliant 75 runs in his 47-ball innings. During this, he also hit 6 fours and 6 sixes. In the meantime, he also got lucky on one or two occasions.
MOHAMMAD SHAMI MADE TEAM INDIA BACK
Eventually, Mohammed Shami broke the partnership between Hope and Puran by dismissing Puran. Puran dismissed by Kuldeep for a six over Scare leg. Cairn Pollard fell to the Golden Duck on the next ball. In this way, half of the Windies team dismissed.
KULDEEP’S HAT-TRICK SCATTERED WINDOWS
Now She Hope looked the last hope of the Windies but in the 33rd over of the Windies innings, Kuldeep Yadav caught him in the hands of captain Virat Kohli and made him a victim. Kuldeep did not stop here in this over and he also completed his hat-trick in the match by hunting Jason Holder (11) and Alzari Joseph (0) for the next two balls here and also ensured the victory of Team India. This is his second hat-trick in ODI career. He is the only Indian to do so. In the end, the Windies team tried to postpone their defeat for a while but in the 43rd over of the innings. However, their struggle ended here with Chemo Paul being bold and India won the victory here.
